NEXUS Praise: Worship + Community

"Nexus" - noun: a connection; center, focus.  NEXUS Praise is a new worship offering by First Baptist.  Held on the first and third Saturday evenings of each month in The Lighthouse (across the driveway from the Borough Building, at the corner of Crafton and Walnut Streets), we invite you to experience worship differently.

Our goal is to foster connection with God and with those who come to pursue that same goal or find out more about Him.  We do that in a relaxed atmosphere - informal dress, coffee and other refreshments in hand, with time to just 'hang out' and get to know one another.  We spend some time in contemporary-style worship, orienting ourselves toward God.  Then we look at God's Word, the Bible, and allow Him to inform us by His truth.

Uniquely, we try to encourage connection with God and each other by allowing for an interactive time where you can ask questions or make comments about what's been presented from God's Word.

We'll finish our time with a song and prayers for ourselves and others and then you're free to hang out, enjoy more coffee or leave if you have to.
