MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a Christian-based ministry that helps meet the spiritual, social, emotional, and even physical needs of women doing the most important job in the world - raising their young children!  By providing quality child care while Mom can relax and interact with other women, there is opportunity for times of learning, sharing, and gaining support from each other.

What is a MOPS meeting like?  We begin with some announcements and enjoy some volunteer-provided brunch.  There is an informative program on topics related to mothering young children, followed by small discussion groups where we talk more informally about the morning's topic and share our joys and concerns to support one another.  The morning ends with an easy craft project - something to stir our creativity and just have fun together!

While we meet, our children are cared for in groups based on their age.  Nursing mothers are welcome to keep their infants with them during the meetings.  Our childcare workers are volunteers who are background checked and see this as a ministry both to the children and to mom's, enabling them to have some much needed 'mom time'.

There is a $3/week fee to help offset programming expenses.  However, we don't want financial issues to keep any mom from participating.  If the fee creates a financial difficulty for you, please speak with the coordinator when you come.

MOPS meets at our church the first and third Thursdays of each month (from September through the first week of May) from 9 - 11:15 AM.  We encourage mothers with children from birth through kindergarten to join in this enriching time which benefits the whole family.
